Ok, Ok... I'm Convinced

Oh my goodness, I guess my comments section is working just fine and there really are readers out there! Thank you all so much for helping me, not to mention making me feel better!
I have to admit, I also have all the blogs I keep up with on my Google Reader just as many have told me they do. And while I do leave an occasional comment I usually don't take the time to do it very often because as any mom knows, there's simply too many other, more important things to do with our time.
So yes, I read but rarely comment and it's perfectly fine with me if you do the same. I totally understand. At least now I know that comments can be left.
Thank you again to everyone who took the time to help me out with this.

Would You Please Help Me?

I don't normally get very many comments anyway, but I've been surprised lately that I haven't gotten any lately, and to be totally honest with you, I was really starting to wonder if I should just make this blog private so I can preserve those things that I don't want to forget but obviously no one else cares about. I mean, I know a lot of what I blog about is just our personal family stuff, and I have been telling myself that I need to get back into blogging about training our children and homeschooling and such, but now I wonder if that's even worth my time. I know, what a baby, but after so long with no comments whatsoever it just makes one begin to wonder why they even bother.
But then earlier today I got an email from someone saying that when they tried to leave a comment they got a message saying that my profile was not available. Huh? I've checked everything and it all appears to be in order. So why isn't my profile 'available'? Has anyone else had problems leaving a comment? Or is it really that I'm just not getting any comments?
If you have just a second, could you please try to leave a comment somewhere on my blog, just so I can make sure everything is working like it should? And if you do have trouble, would you care to shoot me a quick email letting me know of the problem? Pretty please? And does anyone know how to correct this 'profile not available' issue?
Thanks everybody. We'll see what happens.
Make Them Feel Special
This is awful, but I can't remember whose blog I got this idea from. If I come across it or someone knows please let me know so I can give her full credit for it.
Anyway, when my kids woke up to find this waiting for them one morning this week they just loved it! It made them feel special and it stopped the constant, "What are we having for _______" all day long, which made mommy very happy!
Isn't it a nice (and simple) little touch? It's simply a dry-erase marker on a regular kitchen plate. Quick, easy, and makes your family feel special. What more could you ask for?
A Lesson Well Learned
Shopping at Kroger using coupons, most of which were doubled...$28.55
Shopping at K-Mart during their double coupon days...$14.44
Shopping at Wal-Mart using a few coupons which are never doubled... $106.42
Realizing that you aren't really saving as much money as you thought by shopping at Wal-Mart... priceless!
(Not to mention noticing how desperately I need to make out a menu before I go! I'm embarrassed to see how much junk I bought and how few meals I can actually put together for the amount of money I spent. It's most definitely a learning process but this week's trip taught me a whooooole lot!)
(Kroger: saved $35.31 between coupons and Kroger card, a total savings of 55%. K-Mart: saved $17.14 going on double coupon day, a total savings of 54%. Wal-Mart: saved $10.70 using coupons, a total savings of around 9%.)
